The Christmas sleep-overs are continuing to arrive and on Monday evening it was Milo
, one very excited little puppy who can't stop his bum from wiggling. Milo wants to be best pals with everyone he meets and the only one who doesn't share his overtures of friendship is Inky
, our in-house authority on Shakespeare. This could be due to Inky's age, estimated, in human years, to be about one-hundred and his conservative approach to social engagement. The sloppy, wet licks on the nose from a wiggly puppy are not to his liking. In fact, he wanted Mary to quote a line from one of Shakespeare's works, The Passionate Pilgrim.
"Crabbed age and youth cannot live together:
Youth is full of pleasance, age is full of care."
Our regular band of day-visitors arrived to spend the day and they will be missing their Monday play-time for the next couple of weeks so we tried to make this a fun-filled day. in spite of the cold.
Best of all was a trip down to the beach where we were somewhat sheltered from the wind.
